LPs to CDs using VAIO

Hi, I have vaio vpcf12s1e (Windows 7). I want to record LPs to CDs using Audacity.

Is the Mic the only possible audio input? Is it good enough? Any other suggestions?

The microphone jack should work as a 'line-in' and give acceptable results.
