Hi
When I bought my Sony Vaio two years ago one of the reasons I bought it was because Sony claimed you could get a lead to link a record deck to the laptop, and record all your old LP's onto CD if you put a CD into the drive before playing the LP.
I must admit I have never got round to it but now don't know what the lead is called or how I purchase one. Anyone have any ideas please?
Hi kazzabezz.
I don't recognise your Vaio Model number. Can you look again - it is usually somewhere on the screen surround.
All Vaios will accept analogue stereo input through the microphone input. You simply need one of there cables: -
VERY EXPENSIVE CABLE!!
And a program on your Vaio like SonicStage Mastering Studio - but other free programs are available.
You may have other inputs but this will depend on your model.

Sorry - just checked - must be going blind! it says FS315S! Have you heard of that?
Yes - that one I have heard of!!
It depends on the outputs from your deck but they are uaually 2 X Phono plugs.
If they are 'female' plugs, you need ONE OF THESE
If they are 'male' plugs, you need ONE OF THESE
AUDACITY is a very good FREE package to capture and burn your music.
