I can't access secure sites
I can't access secure sites. I think this started from November. I can't log in to Ebay or pay for goods online. I've tried system restore but it just goes back to February. I've tried everything I can think of, please can you help? I have a Vaio VGN-FS295VP. Servalan

Hi Servalan,
A few things for you to try: -
In Internet Options -> Advanced scroll down and check that SSL 2.0 and SSL 3.0 are checked.
In Internet Options -> Security set default level.
In Internet Options -> Trusted Sites -> Sites uncheck the box "Use server verification...."
Just a thought ............... Are you using AOL?

Thank you for replying. I'd already done the first two but unchecked the third one but still can't access sites. Could it be IE6? If so would upgrading to IE7 solve the problem? I'm not using AOL. I'm with Freeserve/Orange.
Servalan.

Hi Servalan,
That is strange.
I would download another browser and see if you have the same problem.
Try with one that does not use the IE settings like FIREFOX 2 and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you. Is it complicated to do? Will I still be able to use IE6 and Outlook Express? Servalan

Yes, it is just an additional browser and you can use whichever you choose.

Thank you very much. If I can't find another solution I'll try and download this. I'm on dial up and it's a big file but I'll try. Thanks again. Servalan
