How can I Get my inbuilt camera to work on Z12?

I usually use an external webcam (part of my external monitor), but as this is not presently available, I need to use the inbuilt webcam.

It has worked in the past. Indeed, I recall at one time having been presented with a list of alternative webcams to use - with the inbuilt one being one of them (when I did briefly try it).

But now I need to use the inbuilt one, I cannot find any option that enables it.

Device Manager shows the inbuilt webcam in working OK.

But Skype can't call it up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ian

HI Ian,

Skype is probably still set to your external webcam.

In Skype go to Tools -> Options -> Video Settings and you will see a drop-down box to select which webcam you want to use.  Find your internal camera (it may say Sony or USB Camera) and select it.

Thanks, but that's not it.

I'd already explored that - in both video options (identical, but one under General and one under Calls).

Oddly, the recipient can see me, but (a) I can't see me; (b) I can't see them. So the fault seems to be more to do with some other setting rather than the webcam itself.
