DVD RW???

On the FAQ page it says that our vaio s will njot support media with a capacity over 700 MB as this is clearly not a DVD why is this so.

Is the word dvd writer a blatent lie?

Any ideas anyone, im using a PCG-FR215H with a toshiba drive

any help would be appreciated

It will write to a single layer DVD-R or RW up to the max capacity. I think the article you were looking at was referring to the maximum data that can be written to a CD-R/RW

I'm not so sure Dave... If you visit the Sony Specifications Page for PCG-FR215H is clearly states that you have a DVD-RW drive...

Try burning a DVD (which is well above the 700MB limit for CD's) and see if it works - its all I can suggest at the moment.

This FAQ is about overburning, nothing to do with DVD writing, so there's no need to worry about it :slight_smile:
