I have a vaio VGN-NS10L. It got some liquid spilled on it and now the screen has big thick black lines on it (SEE PICTURE). The laptop works fine other than that. I would like to know where I should be looking to try and fix it. Is there a connector that probably needs cleaning or replacing? Any ideas to get it back up and running.
Where did the water go? Onto the keyboard?
It really will need someone to look inside and check for damage. It could be a bad contact or a short on the main board.
I would contact one of Sony's Service Partners. You will find a list on the "Get in Touch" Tab of your model's support page here: -

I was hoping someone would be able to let me know how easy it is to open myself to check something. Its not worth us paying for a repair.
