I just wanted to report a factory failure relate to the wirless adapter on a Vaio SVE1712
I was struggling to get wifi signal a few meter away from the router, so I started my research.
Found out that the wireless adapter QUALCOMM AR9485XXXX comes with a miss-assembly failure.
The cables from the antena are mistakenly plugged in the adaptor.
The white cable should go in the connector labeled as "main". It was wrong.
I swap the cables and gain 802.11n capability and improved my connection strength by 70%.
