I am trying to use HDMI for connection between KDL-50W805b and Yamaha TSR-700 AV-amplifier.
I cannot use ARC since the amplifier constantly losses connection with TV.
An optical cable connection is a bit better, but not stable (HMDI control is enabled both TV and amplifier). Symptoms, if I listen to music from NAS or blue-ray disk and open the TV, the amplifier switches source automatically from NAS/Blue ray to TV and the system sound vanishes. It looks like the TV lost connection to amplifier because I can see the sound output is switched to TV from a setup menu. If I switch it back to AV-amplifier the sound comes both TV and amplifier. The only way how I can fix it, is to close either TV or amplifier and open it once again.
The amplifier retailer claims this is the TV problem, but I am not convinced. Has anyone else have the same problem or idea what might be root cause to the problem?
