I just bought a second hand Bravia KD65X8505B whilst I'm here in Ireland, it have firmware version 3.004 which according to sony.ie is current.
However sony.co.uk says 3.006 is current and I'm trying to upgrade to that as I will most likely bring TV back to UK with me anyway and in any case the only think connected to it is my AppleTV.
So I downloaded 3.006 and copied to exFAT formatted USB (MBR) and insert into USB. Instructions say update option is Settings - Customer Services but on mine it's in Help - Customer Services.
I select Software Update and no option to install from USB is given, only online.
USB is recognised as the TV asks me what to do with it re: Media Player on insert.
Any ideas?
