Hi all just purchased a sonykdl48w705c basically as the advert stated it had a vga input which i use via a switch box on my current tv to connect my pc to it to watch films i have on pc.
i soon found out there was no vga socket as stated so swopped the input vga to vga lead for a vga ( this is from switch box) to hdmi cable and connected to a hdmi port on the new tv but to no alas when trying the other hdmi channels they do not even show as anything connected to the tv im at a loss only other thing i can think of is i have a hdmi socket on my pc do i need to connect hdmi to hdmi to get my pc to connect to my tv 😞
VGA(not DVI) is Analogue. You need an Analogue to Digital Converter with very sort cable, if you want to use this.
Why don't you use HDMI to HDMI? You need nothing more than a cable.
