Hi
I have an Xperia T which I've had since Nov 2012, around July last year for some reason messages from one number (my boyfriends) no longer showed up in my inbox, I can access them through going into contact & send text but I don't get a notification for them, I checked I hadn't changed anything in the settings and it became a pain to go through all that every time I wanted to send a text and there doesn't seem to be an issue with any other numbers....any ideas here?
So I thought no problem, I can use whatsapp, which was fine, although annoying when out of 3g signal but over the past month or so, mostly in whatsapp although also in other applications, as I'm typing, the keypad shuts down every couple of characters so it's now taking me forever to write messages, is this to do with lack of updates? Any help would be appreciated, it's getting pretty frustrating!
Thanks in advance

backup your SMS/MMS and then
settings > apps > all > messaging > clear data > restart your phone > check again
Thanks for the quick response, I tried this straight away and still not working, I text the number & he replied straight away but still no notification & nothing in inbox, still have to go through contact! I did the same for the xperia keyboard though which seems to have sorted the disappearing keyboard out! I'm completely baffled as to why it would pick one number to not show!
That's quite odd, you could repair your phone's software with SUS or PCC (check my previous post)

I have the dissaperaing keyboard too, but not all the time, and I have it on my tablet too (ASUS). Are you using the Google keyboard? If so, probably to do with that.
I did that & it seems to have fixed it, they're now appearing in my inbox, thanks so much!
I did speak too soon on the disappearing keyboard though, any ideas what could be causing that?
