Xperias don't support this, this is not supported by Android native, some other brands have added this feature in selected markets.
Can you elaborate?
There is no 3G video call support in M4 Aqua (may be in other Sony models too). Can anyone share experience in using third party apps in making 3G video calls with Xperia phones. 3G video calling is a network feature charged per minute use (as voice calls), and not to be confused with other video call features like skype, or viber that uses 3G/4G/wifi data.
Noticed that Samsung has a seperate button on dialer for video calls. I searched in Play Store, but the apps popped up seemed not for 3G video calls as described above.

Thank you. It was exactly my point was; thtat's the very reason I am asking about thirdparty apps which can reliably give that functionality to Xperia.
I'm not aware of any third party app that can do this, perhaps checking the XDA Forum
Thank you. I searched about this further. As explained before, this is not natively supported in Android. Only some Samsung phones (i.e. not all Samsung either) have this function. It is said that the functionality seems not achievable with a third party dialer or event with a custom ROM. So, it is likely that some hardware support is need. I guess we have to forget about getting this even with future software updates therefore.
