I have, Sony E2303,
Type pm-0780-bv aad
What's happened is,the screen went blank but I still can hear it is switched on.. I tried everything pressing the voice button with the switch on switch off button and it's not working I tried it many many times and turn the screen blank...
I take it back to my store they told me they can't change it because it's out of the EE contract for year and a half they said contacts Sony..
I got another mobile swap the SIM card and fitted into it and now you can contact me anytime or email me do I stand a chance for a replacement or repair without paying under manufacturer defect??

Hi @Nigel43, I'm sorry to hear about your phone. 
I would recommend that you get in touch with your Local support team for further assistance with this due to warranty, consumer laws and so forth vary between markets and they are better equipped to answer these type of questions since they are the experts on your specific market/region.
I would also recommend that you perform a software repair using Xperia Companion, just to make sure that the software in your phone isn't the cause of this.
Do note that a software repair will delete all data stored on the internal storage of your phone and since you can't unlock it, you will not be able to create a backup.
