Selecting correct HDMI inputs

I have recently bought a ht-as5 home cinema system and a BDP-s570 blu ray player. I want to connect my Xbox 360, Sky+ HD box and the blu ray to my ht-as5 home cinema system but don't know the setup. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

They all appear under HDMI 1 on your TV assuming you plug the HDMI cable into the HDMI #1 socket on the TV. You then simply select the input device on the HT kit (SAT,BD etc) and it will appear on the TV.

Do give it a go, it will make sense when its wired in

Thanks

There are four hdmi slots. One is a dvd in, BD in, Sat in, TV out and I don't what goes in to were in the ht-as5, tv, xbox, sky+ HD box or blu ray player!

Doesn't really matter, they will all do the same thing, although for simplicty i'd suggest logically going Sky ->SAT, Blu-ray->BD, xbox->DVD and then TV out to your TV. You need 4 HDMI cables..

Thanks

Would I run a hdmi straight from the device to the home cinema system!

Bingo  Assuming you have the cables, its a one minute job. Very straightforward

So if I run a hdmi from the device to the ht-as5 will i still need to run a hdmi from the device to the tv?

Sorry about all the questions but I am really confused.

No, thats why I said you only need 4 HDMI cables. You are basically 'passing through' all the video signals from your devices via the HT kit into the TV. The sound then comes out via your HT surround sound speakers.

so how does each device get its own separate hdmi channel if only one cable is running into my tv?
