DAV-DZ330- How to adjust A/V Sync?

Picture and sound are out of sync (using optical cable) on my Home Theatre system.

I found the A/V Sync setting, but this only has "ON" or "OFF" as Options- the Instruction Manual doesn't say HOW to then adjust it!!

Any ideas?
