Can I play PAL DVDs through a BDP S370 onto a US NTSC tv.  Currently I get sound but no picture. I can't find anything in the setup to modify the output.   Would appreciate help.

There is a remote hack to allow this player to become region free (for DVDs only), however you'll need a OneForAll or similar programmable remote to enable it. It's the same hack as for the BDP-S350 and 360 and you can easily find the details online. I've done it to mine and can confirm that I can play R1 and R2 discs.

Bear in mind that it's not sanctioned by Sony.

This question is more about the TV, not the player.

As far as I know, all NTSC TV's will not handle PAL signals as they are not designed to switch. Most PAL TV's however are also compatable with NTSC signals as manufacturers have thoughtfully installed both systems.

You can however buy a signal conversion box to make a PAL output into a Sudo-NTSC signal that has some issues, but is good enough for viewing!
