How do I transfer videos from my FDR-AX53 to a programme on my computer so then I can put them on DVD

Hello @Beddgeler1,

I would recommend to use Sonys Software PlayMemories Home to import the videos/photos from your camcorder.

Either 

1. Connect it to your PC via the supplied micro-USB to USB-A cable and switch it on.

or

2. Take out the memory card of your camcorder, put it in a card reader and connect  that to your PC.
