We have had a Sony Handycam for about 6-7 years. We had a problem last year on holiday when the cam stopped working. A message came up on the screen with an upper & lower arrow displayed. The cam will show a picture, when plugged into a TV, but the recording function will not work. The battery is fully charged and I can eject the cassette.
Upon reading the manual, it suggested to charge the cam for 24 hours, in the off position .Has any one had similar problems, and do I need a replacement (due to repair costs)?
