Has anyone experience or can confirm compatibility of the new Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex 1.5TB USB 2.0/3.0 Portable External Hard drive (or any of the new PORTABLE hard drives) and my Sony CX550 handycam.
I want to use this as a archive type drive, and transfer files across using direct copy. But would need to be able to import files from the portable hard drive to my Vaio laptop occasionally. This is why I thought the seagate Goflex looked attractive as I could use the eSata interface which clips onto the seagate drive.
As I understand it I will need to purchase a Sony VMC-UAM 1 USB adaptor cable to link the two.
I have found out that Compatible hard drives need to be less than 2 terabytes. I think sony say the western digital passport range is compatible?
But would be grateful to know if theseagate is compatible.
