Did you know you can enjoy blockbuster and critically acclaimed PlayStation®3 (PS3®) games without a console with PlayStation®Now (PS Now)? Sound good? Let us tell you a bit more about it.

What is PS Now?
PS Now is a game streaming service that leverages cloud-based technology, allowing users to play a wide range of full PS3 games on compatible devices over the internet, without the need for a console. Games are streamed so you don’t need to wait for downloads and you can get started right away with over 200 titles on offer to rent, and 100 titles available as part of the subscription option. Your games are saved to the cloud so you won’t have to worry about losing that hard earned save.

You can pick up your games where you left off on any of your PS Now compatible devices so you will not lose your game progress wherever you are. The same goes for any trophies that you earn during your subscription or rental period - these will also be saved to the cloud.

I like the sound of that. What do I need to start playing?
All you need is a compatible device, an Internet connection (minimum 5mbps recommended), an accepted payment method and a Wireless Controller (DUALSHOCK®4 or DUALSHOCK®3). Then it’s as easy as signing up with your Sony Entertainment Network account and subscribing or choosing which individual game you’d like to rent. There’s no waiting for downloads, updates or installs.

If you choose to subscribe, for just £12.99 a month you’ll have access to an incredible range of PS3 games to enjoy. You also have the choice of renting a game for 2 days or 30 days. You can play your rentals as much as you like during the rental period. You have up to 30 days to start playing and your rental period does not start until you start playing.

Can I play with my friends?
There’s nothing better than playing for bragging rights against an opponent in the same room or online, and with PS Now we have both covered. With multiple controllers you can play with your friends or go online for co-op or versus mode.

What devices are compatible?
The great thing about PS Now is you don’t need to find space for the console and you may already have a compatible device.

The compatible Sony and Sony Computer Entertainment products are:

- BRAVIA TV 2015 Series: X94C, X93C, X90C, X85C, X83C, S85C, W85C, W80C, W75C, W70C
- BRAVIA TV 2014 Series: X95B, X9B, S90B, X85B, W95B, W85B, W8B, W7B, W6B and W585B.

So what games can I play?
We have over 200 games from SCE Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) and the industry’s best software developers and publishers available to rent, and 100 available as part of the subscription option and are working hard to add as many games as possible. As of now you can play the greats such as The Last Of Us (SCE WWS), The Walking Dead Seasons 1 and Killzone 3 (SCE WWS) (all available for rental and subscription), Resident Evil 4 (Capcom) and Resident Evil 5 (Capcom) (rental only) and many more.

The only PS3 game I am interested in playing is Skyrim. I already have the legendary edition on the PS3 and is pretty much the only game I play on it. I've bought a PS4 for Christmas but still need to keep my PS3 on which to play Skyrim. Even if this was one of the games Sony would add to the PlayStation Now list there would be no incentive for me to play it. Definitely not for £12.99 per month. Why won't Sony make the PS4 backwards compatible for the PS3 like Microsoft have with the Xbox One for Xbox 360? It's annoying that I'll need to keep the two consoles in use.

I love my Playstations, having owned a 2, 3 and now a PS4. However I think Sony are being somewhat greedy with this - £12.99 a month is just too much, especially if one already subscibes to Playstation Plus. You should be able just to put your PS2 or PS3 discs into a PS4 and play the games you already own. Microsoft have realised this and Sony needs to catch up.

Sony!!!!

Why the heck are there STILL references to the 'Playstation Now services', within 'Discover Sony' pages of your website????

Those who signed up to it, (and now feel ripped off) because they bought their Bravia TV's before LAST APRIL on the strength of this existence of this 'service', are now going to feel even worse when they see this article.

YOU decided to discontinue this 'service' which I believe finally fully 'expired' last August.

I bought my TV last September, so it was already expired before I had heard of it.

I have had loads of issues with my TV - ALL of which I believe are caused by the EXTREMELY POOR implementation & functionality of the Android TV GUI, designed by idiots (just my opinion), because of the number of 'features' and other 'elements' in the GUI that either do not work properly or even work at all!!

So, what I 'discover' over & over again since I bought my TV is that there are a lot of customers who you have seriously p*ssed off, because of 'software' or 'firmware' updates that ruin their very expensive hardware, and YOU don't seem to care one little bit about it, or you 'pretend' you care, but offer almost  ZERO solutions to a problem YOU created.

This does NOT ignore the fact that the 'Sony Community' is often a very helpful & valuable service, without which many issues would NEVER get solved.

So a HUUUUUUUUGE thank you to all contributors who offer help & advice.

If this constant fiddling and 'useless updating' causing more problems than it fixes leads to lower profits for Sony, due to loss of customers then its your own fault for putting 'profits & change for changes sake first', rather than continuing to make a high quality, reliable product that customers can appreciate, enjoy using and trust will last.

Like they used to be able to do.

Have you never heard the saying 'If It Ain't Broke, Don't Fix It'?

Well you have been 'breaking it' far too often in an attempt to fix something that already worked almost perfectly.

I pity those people whos jobs you have probably endangered by this constant fiddling, changing & updating 😟

Blessings & Peace to all
