Hi there
Just settling down to watch TV and started getting Google Assistant turning on and off with every press of the remote, along with audio muted.
Navigating takes a double press - to unmute and action the remote command.
Did a factory reset, and the mute-unmute problem persists, and now it's a total nightmare trying to enter set-up details. I noticed my Virgin TiVo remote also affected the mute-unmute - so i took the batteries out. I've taken the batteries out of the Bravia remote for two minutes too, but they're new and I don't see why they'd be the issue.
This is baffling and incredibly frustrating as the TV is three weeks old and has been working fine until this evening, and I can't find any info about the problem.
To reiterate, with every single press of the remote control, the audio is first muted, with a second press in quick succession enabling the button action, before muting.
Please help!
OK So it now seems to mute / unmute with zero input from anyone, on any device.
Hi
Did you manage to sort your problem as I have encountered the same issue today and its so frustrating please help Thanks
Hey guys,
I think you're talking about the talk-back feature? If yes, try the following: https://helpguide.sony.net/tv/gaep1/v1/en/01_06.html?hl=accessibility
turn off the talk-back feature.
If it's relevant to the remote functionality (On the TV or the remote) try the steps here:
