Oreo for ATV1

Sony just released an Oreo update for ATV1 in the APAC region, see here.

I always wondered why they haven't done that earlier (just like Philips/TP Vision), since ATV1 and ATV2 are sufficiently similiar due to the two chips (drivers) being based on the same kernel version.

This probably doesn't mean much für Pie on ATV2 as the hurdle is a much bigger one due to the required kernel update.

!Beware that the APAC FW cannot be installed on European BRAVIAs!

Anyone know why every other region already has this (and has for some time) but we still don't yet in Europe?

When will the firmware come to Europe?
