KD-55XF8796 Slow to connect to Internet

When powering up my TV and selecting the TV app it takes a long time for the Youview to show which channel I am watching and then days "You are now connected to the Internet". My internet connection is wired directly to the router and I have a Virgin Media Hub 3 running at 100Gbps.

Why doesn't it connect sooner so that I can use my other apps (Netflix, Disney+ and Prime) without having to go to TV app and wait.

Any help would be appreciated I don't like to leave my TV in standby overnight.

I agree with @rooobb

The only way to "accelerate" this AND also power down the TV at night, you'll need to connect the TV to the power and turn it on, then go about making a cup of tea or breakfast instead of waiting for it to initialize everything.

The TV can't standby for your input while not being in standby. That said, I'm not sure why this would be an issue since it has a very low power consumption and doesn't actually negatively affect the TV since it is designed to be always in standby. If you could tell us more about that, maybe we can help?

Hope this helps!

I don't know what you are expecting. You switch off at the main (if I understood correctly) and have to wait for all the process to start from scratch, if you want speed you have to leave the tv in standby
