Colour temperature fault KDL-50W805C, Optical light fault
1. TV goes off with right colour temperature Expert 1
I turn it off , and, after 8 minutes I turn on the TV... It's gone, it's all bluish.
I have to manually change it in the menu or change to:
Another HDMI
TV
App.
Did two factory resets and I won't do no more!
This is incredible. It's a basic thing. The TV has to retain its color
Configuration. I've never seen anything like this in my entire life!
2. The red optical light of the toslink connector for audio on the back of the TV doesn't go off.
I am just wondering if this nice piece of engineering is always online...
Can anyone confirm to me that, after 8 minutes off, the red toslink light goes off on the back of the TV, please?
Thank you.

should all go buy Panasonic next time. They said it's the most durable
reliable brand! I am gonna bet. Their tvs also are well built, no plasticky
things or back on the midrange.

Hi @sonyw805c
No reported issues to do with the installation of the new firmware. However if your hoping for this fault to be fixed, its unlikely - although test it out and report back here ?
Cheers

Hi Q,
i won´t do sony updates anymore because i can´t go backwards after such an update. I would go back to 5.1 if i can. (due to faster system booting)
For sure I will only update this TV anymore if this issue and the "channel deleting" issue will be fixed.
The last 3 updates didn´t solve this 2 bugs.

It has to do with the home picture configuration, which we can't change.
On this tv, if you turn it off on YouTube, or while at the the home, you
run the risk of it being stuck in this loop of initializing in the neutral
color temperature.
I remember... Mine was on YouTube. I tuned it off, and when I turned it on
later on, it was on the neutral color. And it kept with this bug every
initialization.
