Hello i have a question.I recently bought a new sony bravia x950h with android 9.Will the Tv be upgraded in the future to android 10 or not??

Please just be aware that you are mixing up things reading that blog: AFAIK i.e. X91J they are referring to is only a US/Canada model that does not exists in Europe. And even with the same model number specification may differ.

I didn't get the things about Google referring to VRR but still I, personally, can't understand how they can address a problem with HW/driver that are being analyzed by Sony engineer (and still they should not have found a solution being that even for the new models the FTA is set for fall/winter 2021).

I agree that is the mediatek SoC that manage the data flow on the HDMI ports but how they are rendered on the screen is different from 2020 models vs 2021 model: on previous year that was entirely done by the Soc being the loosy integration of the basic X1 chip (i.e. no smooth gradiation feature is the most visibly missing one), while this year the flow is processed by the XR chip (and no blur). How much is visible the blur at normal viewing distance (and how many details are lost from game side rendering in 4k@120hz vs 4k@60Hz) is subjective and me not being a gamer  cannot judge.

Summarizing, my 2 pence: don't count on Google, rather hope that Sony (or maybe better Mediatek) solve the problem for your X90H

When you buy something labelled 4k@120hz IT HAS to be 4k@120hz  not 1080p@120hz otherwise it's false advertisement.

Know that Panasonic 2021 4k@120hz will be release with same issues 4k@120hz and vrr , they officially reconized it and said they will provide a future update to fix that and it's using THE SAME MEDIATEK soc...

vincent Teoh had an interview with director of product from TCL avout their new Tvs 4k@120hz using again THE SAME MEDITATEK soc and he asked him about issues, he also said it's not harware related as the mediatek soc is more than enought to do the job, it's a firmware issue for others brands such as Sony and Panasonic

Someone had enought courage to install the x90j firmware on the x900h and it works we just need someone to test 4k@120hz blur.

I'm absolutely not the only one that thinking that the firmware can solve the issue with android updated.

Now his x900h run on google tv without problem, so why not give us google tv too and make buy a new tv to get it ?

Sony still confirm that an update will introduce VRR and ALLM, so the improvements you're referring to may as well be included in the same update.

We hope so, the problem being that Sony when asked about this issue said "Works as intended, we think that players want smoothness over resolution"...

If it was really what they they tought, then why the x90j works like a charm on 120hz ?

That's for the 4k@120hz issue, the other matter is they don't intend to give us Google Tv on 2020 models, just to sell the 2021 models that have it.

It's very vicious from Sony.

The reply I've seen over Twitter also included something in the same vein of "this feature is in it's early stages and is more focused on motion video rather than still images".

I'm not sure if I misunderstood but as far as the feature goes, they're still working on it.

You are absolutely right

But they said "works as intended".

But as i said earlier 4k@120hz works fine on the x90j so they already know how to make it works perfectly.

The real question is : Is the x900h really able to display pure 4k@120hz or Sony sold this tv on a lie and false advertisment ?

Well, if the feature is implemented properly in the new models, that might literally be the reason since it's natural to prioritize fixing an issue in a product before release as a form of damage control, then roll that fix back to the older models.

It's mainly a question of how long that will take, hopefully not too long.
