FZ29VN Down Grade to XP issue

I did download to XP. However, i found the FN key, S1, AV mode Play butoon etc.. not work. Therefor i not able adjust brightness and volume. Anyone know how to fix this issue? Exchange few email with Sony support but no conclusion...

Hi taufu18 and welcome.

Sony do not support a full downgrade of your model to XP. They provide the necessary drivers but have not released the Utilities which control the Fn and special keys.

Sony give the following warning about downgrading your model to XP: -

After you changed the OS from Windows Vista to Windows XP and install these drivers and applications you will face following problems:
1. AV Mode Button can not be used.
2. Instant On mode can not be used.
3. Fn+F5/Fn+F6 Function Key(Brightness Control) can not be used.
4. Fn+F10(Zoom in/out function) can not be used.
5. When connect with HDMI, the sound output does not work.

This has been a real problem with functions like screen brightness. There are some Utilities available here: -

but I don't think they all work. perhaps the screen brightness will work with the latest Intel graphics drivers.
