Hi guys,

I recently purchased an Xperia Play, and found that the Playstation Pocket service, used in order to buy PS1 classics, is not available in my region. I am from Malta, and I understand the reason behind this. However my question is as follows: if I were to travel to Italy, a country where Playstation service is fully available, would I be able to purchase games from Playstation Pocket? Note: My sim card service is provided by a local, Maltese service.

Have you tried downloading them from the android market?

As you can see there is a limited amount of games available on playstation pocket anyway.

I'm afraid it's not that simple, as when I try to download games from the given link, I am told that my phone is not compatible due to its regional specification.

I am not quite sure this will work. My guess is that it will not as the phone will probably still be recognized as a Maltese handset. You should contact your support office and ask about this. They should know or have the possibility to find out.

The support for Malta is handled by the UK contact centre.
