Which Xperia do you have?

How is it that you have an Android phone without a Gmail account? you need a Gmail to download and update apps.

Hi @816fat, welcome to our forum!

If you have an older device (Xperia mini/Xperia mini pro) these devices have reached end of support and we do no longer provide any software for them, so please follow the instructions given by @uliwooly and see if that helps, since they can't be repaired using Xperia Companion.

If you are using another device, please get back to us with the phone model which you can find in Settings > (System) > About phone.
