updating problem

Hi , im trying to update my phone using pc companion, it said it should take about 30 mins

4 hrs later it still has not finished its still on the prepare bit

i tried cancelling update about 30 mins ago but that is not working either

can anyone advise me what to do please

try Update Service instead

make sure your firewall its off for few minutes and if it doesn't work still then reboot your computer on safe mode then run Update Service

prob a silly question but thats me !!! is it safe to just disconnect my phone from my pc

i wasnt sure if that would cause ant problems

you can unplug it, if it come to worse you will get an error if you try to turn it on but you can fix it either using Update Service or Flashtool

flashmode is when you turn off your phone -> press and hold the back key while connecting the USB cable
