Which microphone uses when recording audio?

There are two microphones in my phone, one is front and second is in backside. I want to know which microphone uses when recording using small recording app?

Hi. It depends on the application that you use for recording. Most of sound recorder apps use front mic some stereo recorder apps use both.

I agree with Musarch

the back mic is the noise suppression mic, the front/bottom mic is the main mic

Does this usage of both mic is in anyway related to noised audio while video recording at huge gatherings?

I used "small recording app" that came built in with my phone.

The front one records audio and rear one helps to Cancel noise. Both mics records at same time and rear one help to cancel common ambient noise.
