Hi,

I have recently upgraded from BlackBerry to the SP and have set up my various email accounts on the new phone. All seemed to work fine with emails coming through from the respective servers.

The probelm I have is that the following day all the previously received emails have dissapeared. I assume that I have missed something simple but am unable to find a solution. I need to access all my work emails from the phone so any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

It's hard to say what's the problem here since you haven't provided any detailed information. Do you know which type of email protocol it is? Imap, pop3 or Exchange ActiveSync?

Hi,

The emails were both POP3 and IMAP however I may have resolved the situation in that Outlook was deleting emails from the respective servers upon reciept. This was not a problem for the BlackBerry but seems to be for the SP. I have adjusted the time for emails to remain on the server after delivery to Outlook which appears to work.

I will report back if this is not the case.

Thanks

look in the tools/accounts menu of your pc outlook program,

select the account in the new dialogue box, and look amongst the tabbed section, for a tick box...

Delete mesages on server.

if you take the tick off it will let you kee messages on the phone..

I have so much email it is not practical to keep them on the phone so I set my pc to delete off the server.

The only problem I'm getting now is that i am getting notifications on thepnone's email icon.. a little number aying how many are waiting but there are none.

Don't know the answer to that one.
