C905 - Stop Message Tone When Opened

Hi there I wonder if any of you can help me out please

My partner has a C905 which used to stop playing the message tone as soon as he slid the phone open. Since my daughter used it the other day the message tone continues to play so he is unable to silence it quickly because he now has to actually open the message before it will stop.:smileyconfused:

Could any of you please try to help me find the setting that has caused this and so make my DP happier and our house a lot less noisy

I don't know whether this will help, but try this: Main menu--Settings--Calls--Open to answer--ON

To my knowledge there is no option for the audio to continue once it has been opened. I can only really suggest performing a reset of settings (Note: this does not remove data from the handset however you will need to re apply the custom ringtone.)

Menu > Settings > General > Master reset > Reset Settings.

Thank you so much for answering my question

I did try changing the call settings as suggested but that did not solve the problem regarding the message tone, but I do appreciate you trying to help thank you.

Restoring the phone settings has worked perfectly however, so now it's just a case of getting the phone back to his personal preferences.
