Battery Test..!!

when we open the service menu and scroll down to battery test and tap on it..

its wriiten

"battery test may take hours"

and when clicked on ok the phone goes to airplane mode..

so my question is how to use the battery test feature ??

do we have to leave the phone for couple of hours or use it and side by side battery is being tested ?

Actually, no it's not. I just had a check at Johan's desk (he's off today) and there it was.

His Xperia arc is lying there with a big "Testing, do not touch!" note on it.

Just want to update and say that I'm still trying to figure out the way this battery test works.

This is what I've figured out about the battery test.

Use your phone until it's fully de-charged and turns off. Then connect the charger and let it charge till the indicator shows full battery (do not power on the phone, charge it powered off)

When the indicator shows full battery you power on the phone, enter the service menu and battery test. (Charger should still be connected)

When result shows testing you unplug the charger and let the phone de-charge till it comes back with a result for you, I think it needs to drop to 70%.

It will sure take some time to do this test.

yes 30% decline will take like forever

since the phone will be in airplane mode..

and will consume minimum battery..
