Can't update my xperia arc

I need help, i have a xperia arc LT15i, when i tried to update my phone it say that has already been update to the last version, but whe i check in about phone it say version of android 2.3.2 so dont know why doesnt updgrade to 2.3.3 or 2.3.4

Hi, suggest you check with your Network Operator first.

hi @firex as mentioned by @gwhispererz is your phone locked with network operator ......??? and did you use pc companion or SUS (Sony update service)...????

Yes i did use the pc companion and it say the same that it was update to the last version

mmmmmm....this is how..:-P did you bought your SIM card and phone separately or it came along with the phone ...like locked you need to use that SIM card only...???;-)

It was a gift from a friend, so yes it came separately, i just put my sim card from my old cel phone

ok that's what I want know it came separately..

try repairing your phone with SUS (Sony update service) here's the link download it on your pc and go through the on screen direction..

*please note repairing your phone will delete user data like contact,application...except SD card and SIM card...so backup your contact..here's how

... go to contacts>press the menu button>then backup contact to sd card ..then after repairing your phone go to contact>menu button>import contact

keep me updated after repairing Your phone if any problem presist let me know...and repairing your phone also upgrades to the latest OS...:smileylaugh:

I have checked the SI number santam sent to me (after helping you in PM, thanks!).

You have a Orange branded Xperia arc. The latest software you should be able to get is 4.0.2.A.0.42. It's not the latest one if you compare to the generic devices but it's not that very old and it is on Android 2.3.4.

So, if your phone is on 2.3.2 and PC Companion says you already have the latest software, I suggest you turn of any fire wall and anti-virus program and run PC Companion. Click on Support Zone > Start > Repair phone.

Make sure to backup all data before doing this since the phone's internal storage will be wiped clean of all data. SD card and SIM card will not be touched.
