Screenshot ER is what I use and it works really well on my X10. It s for rooted devices though...

This is not supported in the latest version for Xperia X10 unfortunately. X10 runs on Android 2.3.3 and this feature was not included first until 2.3.4.

So, in other words it is unfortunately not possible without altering with the software using un-official tools. This will void any warranty you have though so think twice before doing this.

You may already know all this as you asked for a handset based app but thought I would just add that you can take screen shots using your PC if that's any help to you.... two routes to go the first being more complicated but does work and is what I started off with for my X10

The second is more simple and is a great programme anyway for backing up your contacts, syncing your calendar and backing up messages etc http://www.fjsoft.at/en/highlight.php there is an option within Extra's tab on the top left of the screen. You must have USB Debugging ticked within your phone so Settings>Applications>Development and tick it.

I apologize for the incomplete article... for some reason I was sure that "voiding the warranty" information was in the article. And after all most of the X10 users have long passed the warranty timeline so I didnt think of that. Suze's links are pretty good give them a try and good luck!

Naaaa my warenty still holds. Here in South Africa we get everything late. I had taken a 2year contract so by End of this year my contract will end and a take something better. By then i will get all the info i need from you guys on which phone to take:smileyhappy:.
