Weird battery issue! ST15i

I'm running latest .62 firmware on my xperia mini & did calibration fix through sony service center 2 weeks back.
I just encountered a weird battery issue on my ST15i
When my mobile reaches last 20% of its Battery level, It gets switched off with a warning "BATTERY 1% OR LOW SWITCHING OFF"
then if I plug my mobile to the charger it charges from 20%. So this implies I could use only 80% of my mobile battery.
Already battery life of Xperia mini is poor and now this issue makes it even poorer
1) any solution? I dont want to repair my mobile with SEUS as I just installed loads of apps, will loose them all if I do the repair!

2) Is there any way to buy a higher capacity battery than the stock one (1200mAH) ??

Hi, the only thing to try (other that software repair) is to remove battery, leave it for awhile, put it back and charge to full. Then monitor the behaviour ....

try this....

charge your phone to 100%

remove the battery as gwhispererz said....

insert it back and turn on the phone and you will get 85% of battery..

charge it again to 100% and voila it will never happen again
