Problem with Update...

Hello,

I want to update my phone i tried a lot but it dint work:

I did do this

Turn off phone,

Remove battery and SD card not sim card,

And now i stuck in keep pressing home key i keep pressing it but nothing happed can you help me?

Update/Repair your phone via SEUS

SEUS ( Sony Ericsson Update Service) ... download it and install it on your pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

Hi! same thing happened to me. I currently have sony ericsson x2. The screen suddenly just got busted when i slide my phone (and i really mean it, the screen just suddenly got busted and i never did anything) so i decided to re-update it. I followed the instructions carefully with battery more than 50% charged. SEUS downloaded the programs but stopped when it was installing. In the process, my phone died and never turns on now. I tried to do SEUS again but my pc says that it does not recognize the software... need help, what will i do now??? :smileycry::smileycry::smileycry:

can u try repairing it with PCC (PC COMPANION) – Repair your software with this .First do the setup without connecting your mobile to pc.(only connect when you are asked to). Do it as follow >> PCC > SUPPORT ZONE> SOFTWARE UPDATE> REPAIR SOFTWARE (written with blue)

download the latest pc companion... reinstall the old one... http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/pc-companion/

and please also try repairing with different pc and different usb cable... need not be of sony

hi! I downloaded the latest PCC and set it up without connecting the phone as you instructed. The thing is, even if I keep on pressing the down volume + power button, the SE logo never appears on the screen... My phone just vibrates after pressing but never displays the SE logo. I tried doing it several times, even pressing the buttons for a minute or so, but nothing happens after my phone vibrates...

use SEUS instead (check the link above) press and Hold the volume Down then while still holding connect the micro USB cable, make sure you press and hold the button before you connect the micro USB cable

I tried what you said uliwooly but that does not work either. after pressing the down volume and connect the USB, my pc says that it has malfunctioned. I tried doing it again but nothing happens.. My phones just vibrates and no logo appears or whatsoever. SEUS cannot even detect a phone connected.... will there still be hope for this phone? honestly???

that's what I thought, if SEUS doesn't recognize your phone then you should try a different computer, also did you restarted your PC after you installed PCC and SEUS?

if its a software issue this should fix it

Yes i did restart my pc after installing the programs. But no, unfortunately i have not used a different pc to try what you had told me. Earlier, I had tried again doing what you had told me this time, after pressing the down volume and connecting to my pc, the red lights on the sides keep on blinking. Does that mean anything?? Thanks a bunch!

I apologize nabeelraza, i have not tried that yet since I only got one pc at home. Will definitely try that as soon as I can and will let you know if it works or not. Thanks a bunch!

I use another pc and the problem was sloved thanks i dont know but it dint work on my i3 laptop it work on my old sister dual core laptop 😕
