A8H does not turn on

From time to time if I turn off the TV and then turn it back on, the panel will not turn on.

The LED lights, the power source starts (the "clank" sound), the connected sound system start, but not image.

If I press any button on the remote, the LED blinks as it should, but no sound in the speakers (menu sounds).

I have the 65" model and a friend of mine has the 55" panel with exact same behavior.

So I assume it is a software problem, not hardware.

Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Hi ast3rixmic,

Have you tried to unplug the power from the mains as well as all the external devices connected to the TV for a few mins then check again?

Hello Piscie,

Yes, when I unplug it and plug it back in, it starts.

Also, if I leave it off for at least 10-15 minutes it also powers on correctly.

It seems like a software bug.

I hope that there are more people with this same issue and Sony will realize it and fix it.

Have you tried clearing the cached data for the entire TV (Device Preferences - Storage - Internal Shared Storage - Cached data) then restart by holding power?
