Bravia KD 55A8 HDR quesy

Hi,

I have just purchased a KD 55A8. I am trying to set it up with my Sky Q box. To get HDR I need to have a 10 bit connection. My Q Box is telling me it cannot do that and only sets up an 8 bit connection.

Any suggestions on how I get a 10 bit connection?

Is the TV capable of 10 bit?

DO I need a different HDMI cable other than the one that came with the Q box?

Do I need to connect to a specific HDMI port on the TV

Any help would appreciated

Make sure you have the box in the HDMI 2 or 3 ports, and enable Enhanced HDMI signal under External Inputs in the settings, should fix that for you.

Perfect, that now works with 10bit HRD.

I dont suppose you know how to get a Sky Q box to record the F1 on Sunday in UHD. The Sky system is a mess, their support is less than useful also!!

Hi tmobyrne , do you mean recording from the Sky or on the Sky box? It's better to record from the TV anyway, or should I say easier
