HDD Timer Recordings Fail

I have a KDL-50W755C, with the latest firmware.

I have USB hard disk attached. It is registered and records live tv programs.

When I have a recurring timer recording, every recording fails.

In the recording error section it list the correct program title but then says

"Could not record a part or all of the event. The main power was powered off"

What is going on?

Strange that the program title is recorded. Is the USB power to the HDD off somehow?

Hi,

That's weird indeed. I have the same TV and timer recordings (also recurring) are working flawlessly.

So I would assume that it's probably an issue of the disc. Have you tried a different model? Maybe with external power supply?
