The home button on the remote control isn't bringing up the home menu on the tv. Boughg a new remote and the issue still remains. If i open via the help button all is well. I suspect there's a fault with the tv.

What model TV do you have and what software version are you on?

I tried both of these ways to try and resolve this issue to no avail. I bought a new remote and Sony sent me a usb with the latest software updates still no joy????

@Zx12kwak if you've tried testing the remote as well, then it might be worth looking into an inspection for the TV, the IR receiver may be not registering the Home button presses.

There's a useful locator tool for Sony service centres in the UK and in Ireland.
