Hi. I'm looking for some support please. Recently bought the above TV which I'm overall happy with. The issue I'm facing however the whack-a-mole nature of getting my remote to operate consistently for the TV, my Virgin Media TiVo box and Sonos Playbase. If I switch Bluetooth on I can operate TiVo but not the volume (Sonos doesn't have Bluetooth / needs IR signal). If I turn Bluetooth off the opposite happens plus I obviously can't use Bluetooth for anything else. Surely there's a way to parse the volume out and control it via the remote and still use the remote for TiVo?!? For information, the sound is connected via digital output. Thanks in advance.

Try enabling all the devices in the Bravia sync list by pressing home- settings- watching TV- External Inputs- Bravia sync settings- BRAVIA Sync device list and enable it. Also, in the Bravia sync menu, you can try to change the device control keys to tuning keys, the default should be normal.

Bravia Sync is only for HDMI connections since it's built on HDMI CEC.

So I'd say you're out of luck here unless you can connect the playbase via HDMI or if the playbase has one of those programmable remotes you can use with the TV (which may or may not work with other HDMI devices over the TV's Bravia Sync).

Wish I could try it out myself, but I don't own any Sonos products.

- JD

Thanks JD. I think you are right.

Unfortunately I appear to have gone backwards with this purchase as not only have I encountered this issue but issues with the audio syncing when using TiVo. To deal with the former I've actually purchased a very basic remote to work with my Playbase which helps. The only annoyance is that even with Bluetooth re-enabled and audio set to external the Sony remote still tries to operate the volume of pressed. Again, with my Panasonic it was disabled. Highly annoying.
