OLED 55AG8 Panel Refresh

I keep getting this refresh message. When I accept the refresh, TV switches off and after a while I get red flashing light, ( 6 flashes ).

This is happening after every switch off now. TV is less than 1 year old.

Can this be resolved easily or should I send TV back?

The Sony site says this shouldn't be done more than once per year as this will reduce screen life.

I have accepted the refresh but not sure if it's actually doing anything.

Have you installed the latest firmware for your TV, it should address the LED problem e so probably also the continuos requirement of panel refreshing

I've got exactly the same problem. Can you tell me more about the firmware update and how you do it? Much appreciated.
